In this show, we discuss installing new porch posts and the many choices beyond the traditional wood posts.
Some materials:
- Wood
- PVC
- FRP (Fiberglass-reinforced Polymer)
The Handyguys discuss some advantages and dis-advantages of each. We then discuss some things to consider when installing new porch posts. Paul installed the FRP posts. Listen to the podcast for all the details.
Great podcast on porch posts — there’s nothing I’d rather think about…
Funny – Thanks for your comment Cat
FRP is a product I use at work for the inside walls of restaurant bars. It comes in 4×8 sheets, is about 1/8″ thick and is textured. It smells like flowers when you cut it. ๐
Wow – Flowers? Paul, did your project come out smelling like roses?
